Services
Consignment
We require all consignment cars to be left in our care. After an initial assessment of the vehicle, we will make a recommendation as whether to sell your car as one of our certified vehicles or to sell it as-is on our website or the local market. This will depend primarily on the cost-benefit ratio to bring it up to our certifiable standard. As a Certified Vehicle
Consigning your car with Expat Auto as a certified car gives you the benefit of using our name and buyers get the peace of mind that comes from our thorough inspection and pre-sale repair requirements, as well as a warranty on parts and labor. (See buyer's guide). We require that your car first go through our inspection, then that all required repairs are made as seen necessary by us (we will give you a repair estimate and arrange the repairs on your behalf).
When you leave your car with us we will advertise it on our website, through other Internet channels, as well as other printed advertising materials around the city. When it sells, we charge a 5% commission of the sale price (minimum 15,000 THB, maximum 30,000). We will take responsibility for price negotiation and handling of the paperwork. The seller will be responsible for ownership transfer fees, fuel, repairs, etc.
As-Is Condition
After the initial assessment, If you do not want want to spend the money to bring the car to our certified status, there are two as-is option that we can discuss. If the repair list is not too extensive and it is a brand, price, etc that we can stand behind, we will advertise it as-is on our website with the repair recommendations attached. If however, repairs are very extensive or if it is a car we do not want to advertise on our site, we will advertise through other mediums. In both cases we will take care of all paperwork, negotiation, etc. The seller will be responsible for fuel and ownership transfer fees unless we are able to negotiate otherwise with the buyer. Commission fees are the same for all consignment vehicles.Renting Your Vehicle Out
